I am no longer selling system disks via my website. Let’s just say that the vagaries of the post became too much, especially when sending abroad, with customs officials of even enlightened nations feeling they have the right to open private post!
There is so little margin for me to sell system disks without added support that it isn’t worth the effort to keep my accounts going with Google, eBay, Etsy, etc. But if you need support installing a different system on your computer, please reach out to me. I still believe there are great (superior) alternatives to both Windows and macOS, and these can be installed easily with a little know-how.
I am especially disappointed that it means I will no longer sell Tails disks. These allow you to evade censorship and surveillance by the state, family, and commercial actors. However, honestly, Tails (https://tails.net) would not advise you to get their secure system from a third party like me, but some folks need a helping hand, as not everyone is tech-savvy.
Meanwhile, Microsoft has ditched Windows 10, and Apple is moving away from Intel-based computers. This means both companies are using their tech market muscle to force users to ditch perfectly good computers and buy new ones. You do not need to comply! This is why I have always enjoyed encouraging users towards free systems like Linux or ChromeOS Flex. Commercial computer systems have less and less to recommend them; unless you want your online freedom and privacy to be increasingly hog-tied to Big Tech, and your computer to be a target for the next exploit that Big Tech fails to catch in time.
