I began Macwiz in 1996 as a freelance graphic design business in Oxfordshire. I used an Apple Macintosh computer as a design tool (a Macintosh LC running System 7). Before that, I was a senior designer at Oxford University Press.
Back then, Apple technology wasn’t as standard as now. Apple had only recently begun to target the broader consumer market rather than design studios. I increasingly felt that the emerging Apple tech was the sort of thing that interested me more than graphic design. I assisted other freelance designers in mastering their Macs instead of designing.
Since then, I have been helping people with their Apple devices, Microsoft or Android systems. I have moved to Devon, where I hope to be helpful to more Apple users.
