TimeCapsule Repair
Is your TimeCapsule dead? No lights? I can repair the power supply to the original Apple specifications using similar or higher quality components. This will restore your time capsule to the same electronic condition that you bought it. Please note that the inherent issue of overheating will still be there as the design, with reference to cooling, appears to be flawed.
Power Supply Repair and Cooling Modification
To correct the issue of overheating I can modify the fan circuitry to run constantly (at a suitably quiet speed!) so cooling is achieved constantly rather than only in an overheat situation (which most people have found is actually too late, the power supply has already failed). This will involve modifying the fan to blow over the power supply as well as the drive and adding extra cooling facility to the base of the unit as well as a fan filter to keep out the dust. Also, ground clearance is increased to improve intake of cooling air. Doing both jobs allows me to offer a 3 month warranty, subject to inspection, against Time Capsule failure, not including (obviously) hard drive faults. The cost of the full service (cooling mod and PSU repair, assuming it has failed in the usual manner) is £60 with free return to UK mainland address (as at 20/06/10) enquire for full details.
