I am an artist making idiosyncratic narrative illustrations which feature on the gifts and home wares produced by Lush Designs, as well as books and greeting cards.
I studied painting and printmaking and my work has had many evolutionary cycles, from the theatre and agit-prop poster design through to product design.
Originally I worked in the low-tech but captivating media of screenprinting, collage, and painting, but the wonderful world of working digitally was a natural progression. Photoshop is an easy transition to anyone who is used to print and vector-drawing in Illustrator is only a snip away from paper-cutting! The flexibility and accuracy that working digitally has enabled me to be far more productive and apply my work to all kinds of media and surfaces, from laser-cuts to fabric prints.

Originally from Devon, I live and work in SW London. I first came to the City after graduating in Illustration in 1999, and I’ve worked as an Illustration agent within a London agency, within the new media industry and more recently within the print and poster industry with the The Art Group as a creative Rights Researcher, hunting out new talent and ideas.
Things have come full circle with my artwork and I can now be I can be found in a warm studio, listening to the radio and generally being very happy with life.
I’ve always been creative and was drawn towards illustration as it allows me to inject my slightly obscure sense of humour into my designs. I work from a rather lovely studio (from which I can witness squirrel fights in the park) and I spend my time developing my decorative line and lettering styles.
Working in a variety of media and materials, my many influences include Tony Hart, Jim Flora and Rolf Harris, children’s illustrators Graham Oakley and Joseph Wright.
I’m an active participant of The East End Arts club and am also represented by the creative agency Illustrationweb.com.

I originally produced images using found media and collage. These images did not always reproduce well in print so I explored the possibility of working digitally using both Photoshop and Illustator.
I have enjoyed working with clients in Canada, Holland, Germany and the United States as well as in the UK. My work has appeared in books, magazines and advertising.
I have also exhibited in London, Paris and Edinburgh. Clients I have worked with have included The BBC, Orion Publishing, Penguin, Random House, Saatchi & Saatchi and The Telegraph.
