After graduating in illustration in West Sussex, I returned to london where I now work as a freelance illustrator, specialising in advertising, editorial and publishing.
My style is sleek, contemporary and mixed with a sprinkle of humour, all created by scanning in my pencil drawing and going over it in Adobe Illustrator using a Wacom tablet.
My work is currently represented by the agency Pure Illustration.

I started to work as a still-life photographer for Advertising. During this time, I began experimenting with the technique of folding paper into abstract patterns, and I conceived the idea of combining my two skills, photography and pleating paper. I now work extensively for both advertising and editorial. Paper is the tool of my own expression, just as others use pencil or paint. The passage of light through different thicknesses of paper, reveals an intricate internal organization of folds, creating subtle variations of light and shadow.
I use a digital camera to capture and to upload the image to my Mac Pro. Once on the mac I use Adobe’s applications, especially Photoshop, to make the changes and improvements I feel necessary. At the same time, iTunes is always playing some pretty good rock or soul music!
I am a Paris (FRANCE) based illustrator, and can be contacted through my London agent.

Originally from Devon, I live and work in SW London. I first came to the City after graduating in Illustration in 1999, and I’ve worked as an Illustration agent within a London agency, within the new media industry and more recently within the print and poster industry with the The Art Group as a creative Rights Researcher, hunting out new talent and ideas.
Things have come full circle with my artwork and I can now be I can be found in a warm studio, listening to the radio and generally being very happy with life.
I’ve always been creative and was drawn towards illustration as it allows me to inject my slightly obscure sense of humour into my designs. I work from a rather lovely studio (from which I can witness squirrel fights in the park) and I spend my time developing my decorative line and lettering styles.
Working in a variety of media and materials, my many influences include Tony Hart, Jim Flora and Rolf Harris, children’s illustrators Graham Oakley and Joseph Wright.
I’m an active participant of The East End Arts club and am also represented by the creative agency Illustrationweb.com.

Beccy Blake has been a freelance children’s illustrator since leaving the University of Northumbria in Newcastle-upon-Tyne with a BA(hons) in graphic design and illustration. She was born in Hampshire and had a country upbringing in a scatty household full of cats, dogs, ducks, hens, rabbits, goldfish and goats, little brothers and a pet chicken called Victoria which have all appeared at some stage or another in her quirky illustrations.
She has worked extensively in the fields of publishing, design and advertising, editorial, greetings cards and one-off commissions and exciting art projects for a number of clients both here in the UK and overseas. She mainly works in pencil, crayon, acrylics, pen and ink and also digital media, often combining the two.

I love creating fun, cute, cuddly, creepy, slimy, crazy, silly characters. Sketching in Adobe Photoshop, creating vector art in Adobe Illustrator, or conjuring up 3D characters using Maxon’s Cinema4D for Mac. I’ve had fun creating for Scholastic, Hasbro, American Greetings, Miller Brewing, SeaWorld, Scott Foresman Publishing, Target Stores and others.

I am an artist making idiosyncratic narrative illustrations which feature on the gifts and home wares produced by Lush Designs, as well as books and greeting cards.
I studied painting and printmaking and my work has had many evolutionary cycles, from the theatre and agit-prop poster design through to product design.
Originally I worked in the low-tech but captivating media of screenprinting, collage, and painting, but the wonderful world of working digitally was a natural progression. Photoshop is an easy transition to anyone who is used to print and vector-drawing in Illustrator is only a snip away from paper-cutting! The flexibility and accuracy that working digitally has enabled me to be far more productive and apply my work to all kinds of media and surfaces, from laser-cuts to fabric prints.

I have also exhibited in London, Paris and Edinburgh. Clients I have worked with have included The BBC, Orion Publishing, Penguin, Random House, Saatchi & Saatchi and The Telegraph.

I am a London based illustrator. I work mainly on computers now, but still work in more traditional media (oil paint) which is great for tight deadlines! I work in Illustrator mainly, then Flash and Photoshop. I also animate. Recent commissions have been for Children’s Books, Advertising Work, Packaging, Animations.
I am a bit Mac obsessed and have a collection going back years. I have a strange fondness for the G3 Desktop, and its simple graphics. Currently using the G5. I do have a windows machine which I find really useful for raising my blood pressure.
Currently I’m still being amazed by the iphone even though I have had it since release. I’ve been playing with the drawing apps, and plan to have a go at using it for commissioned artwork soon, see how that goes…
