    Dear Alan Baker,

I have just come across your breathtaking illustrations in “Joni Mitchell Both Sides Now.”

You will be in high demand due to your brilliance as an illustrator. At least you can take this as a feather in your cap.

I have written a bird alphabet book in 4 lined verse, but am a first-time author and am looking for ways to find an illustrator and publish it. Perhaps you have some advice or know a first-time illustrator who paints like yourself who would be interested in taking a chance.

    Thanks for reading this.

    Sincerely,

    Patricia McGurk
